Installed a YORK heat pump system including a new YORK electric furnace, MERV11 air filter cabinet, wifi thermostat, water safety shutoff device to monitor proper drain operation, insulated supply and return adapter and plenums for custom ductwork, refrigerant lineset, new breakers and service disconnects for indoor and outdoor units, tamped and level outdoor pad, custom level rail support system; as always - all heating and cooling data and performance recorded and pics for future techs to use.

Returned to our HVAC project. All ductwork was fabricated this morning, refrigerant lineset was brazed, nitrogen pressure tested, and micron vacuumed, all supply duct reconnected, return duct and filter cabinet mounted, thermostat and all electrical updated, and system started up. We will complete final touches tomorrow along with our data and performance information collected, followed by a final inspection.

After company training day was completed this morning, we started a new heating and cooling project. My colleagues removed all the old existing HVAC equipment, fabricated a heavy duty rail system and leveled blocks for the new indoor electric furnace to sit on, new tamped outdoor unit pad and set outdoor heat pump, and we chased a new copper refrigerant lineset through three crawl spaces from unit to unit. I will be fabricating all required ductwork in the morning.

Joined my colleagues today on a work order to replace (8) concealed refrigerant linesets that are leaking in multiple locations for existing HVAC minisplit comfort systems installed by others. We will have some difficulty to overcome, but we will complete this work order in a timely fashion with leak-free heating and cooling systems for the homeowners.

Many “Economy” heating & cooling installations result in poor performance, multiple repairs, frustration with wasted time & money. If you pay too little for a project, many times it will not even accomplish what you paid to have done and all is wasted. Invest wisely for excellent & reliable performance. Refrigerant leaks of R410A are unhealthy and will damage the equipment. Refrigerant systems must be free of any & all contaminants & thoroughly purged, flushed & dehydrated to function correctly
